PUMA has unveiled its latest shoe; the FUTURE Z 1.1 football boot, in collaboration with Neymar, who signed with the German sportswear brand last year.
The FUTURE Z football boot has been specifically designed to be worn by the world’s “most dynamic and creative playmakers”. In a statement, PUMA gave details about the football boot, stating that the shoe was made of a “super lightweight PEBA material that has undergone rigorous testing through the development stage.” The key feature of the FUTURE Z is the ‘FUZIONFIT+ compression band’. Developed using a special combination of polyester and spandex yarns, it creates the “perfect balance of compression, comfort and durability”. This extra support allows for “explosive movements” made by the player. It’s no surprise that Neymar, known across the world for his skills, would be the muse and collaborator for this new model.
PUMA has also released a video campaign with Neymar, titled ‘Drive Them Crazy’. The video features the PSG forward using his skills and tricks to dumbfound opponents, all while wearing the new FUTURE Z boot.
The FUTURE Z is launching in the ‘yellow-alert’ and PUMA ‘black GAME.ON’ colourway. The boot features a sharp contrast between the bright yellow upper and toe-box and the black stripe. The bold colours used are perfect for a player like Neymar, one who likes to show off on the pitch, but also off it, with his eccentric style always drawing headlines.
The FUTURE Z 1.1 football boot is currently available for pre-order on the PUMA website and specialist football accounts, with the global release set for January 21 on the PUMA website, PUMA stores and leading football retailers.
