Matthieu Blazy to Chanel, Needles x Palace's collab and more good sh*t this week

It’s been yet another busy week for fashion and culture, from Matthieu Blazy’s announcement as Chanel's new artistic director to Needles x Palace’s new collection to even a pair of Playboi Carti Timbs. Take a look at what else was good this week.

Needles and Palace combine the British and Japanese aesthetics

Needles and Palace might’ve just drastically changed every streetwear lover’s Christmas wishlist this year with the release of their new collaborative capsule. Reimagining Needle’s classic with touches of Palace’s signature motifs. The velour tracksuit might even be the hardest to come out this year.

Playboi Carti’s new Timbs were co-designed by A$AP Nast

With Carti’s recent Timberland kick, it’s only right that he got his very own colourway after rocking them heavy these past couple of months. Co-designed by A$AP Nast and Kamil Abbas - one of the creative masterminds behind AWGE and CPFM - the 6-inch boot features a cracked white upper, silver accents with a steel toe box and Opium branding.

Matthieu Blazy is in at Chanel

After one of the most hectic hours in fashion that resembled football transfers on deadline day, Matthieu Blazy left Bottega Veneta, was replaced by Louise Trotter and then was announced as the new artistic director at Chanel. At least we can really get excited for the chapters of both brands, especially with Matthieu Blazy.

Heaven x Emergency Intercom drop a surprise collab

Marc Jacobs' Heaven is one of the best at tapping Gen Z’s favourite talents and personalities, and it just hit the nail on the head once again, by collaborating with cult favourite podcast Emergency Intercom. The capsule featured t-shirts, a hoodie and even a necklace - our top pick for sure.

Eckhaus Latta drops their first handbag, “The Snap”

For its first-ever bag, the most important thing for Eckhaus Latta was functionality - something that would serve as an everyday bag and “The Snap” is just that. It’s simple but keeps its interest with those punkish silver studs and really couldn’t be more nonchalant, effortless vibes.

Dress like Tyler with GOLF le FLEUR* Season 3’s drop

If you ever wanted a chance to buy Tyler, the Creator’s wardrobe, it seems like Season 3’s GOLF le FLEUR* drop is like a catalogue of the rapper’s style. The campaign resembles him perfectly, even down to the poses and the way he’s been wearing his hair for the Chromakopia era.

Central Saint Martins also thinks we should “Free NewJeans”

After issues with their management, many fans online have been saying “Free NewJeans,” eager to keep on hearing more music for them. One Central Saint Martins student clearly agreed, standing in solidarity with the movement and putting a banner above his garment to create one of the most viral moments from this year’s White Show.

Loyle Carner stars in new Champion campaign

If there’s one thing about Loyle Carner that you can’t deny, it’s his soothing, relaxing voice. Champion seems like they agree too, which is why they’ve got him narrating their latest campaign on “Fabric of a Champion,” explaining the story behind the emblematic Reverse Weave.

SZA begins her album rollout for “Lana”

Serving as the deluxe version of her fan-favourite SOS album, SZA’s rollout for “Lana” has officially begun. The R&B singer confirmed herself that the album will be coming out by the end of the year so, luckily, we won’t have to wait very long to hear it.
