English shoemaker Dr. Martens has teamed up with the legendary fashion designer Marc Jacobs to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the latter’s Jadon boot. The two brands regularly release collaborative shoes for Jacobs’ grunge inspired sub-label Heaven, and now they follow up on the “Cherry Red” pair that came over two years ago from Marc Jacobs’ mainline.
The punk spirit of the Dr. Martens brand is the perfect match for a collaboration with Jacobs, a designer who has always done things his own way. As part of the anniversary makeover, Jacobs has included punk-inspired motifs by experimental artist Yves Tumor, known for breaking sound boundaries through a rebellious identity on local streets.
The Marc Jacobs x Dr. Martens Jadon boot is constructed in glossy black leather, with a signature high collar and trademark yellow welt stitching. A co-branded tongue features on the celebratory silhouette alongside a platform rubber sole and decorative silver chains featuring keys, locks, hearts and eye charms.

Marc Jacobs is an American-born designer, who started his eponymous label in 1984. He is known for doing what he wants, famously telling Vogue that if something makes him feel good, he’ll do it. This balls-to-the-wall attitude perfectly combines with the ethos of Dr. Martens, a brand that has been worn by anarchists, rebels, punks and pretty much every subculture or style tribe ever, from grunge to graffiti.
The Marc Jacobs and Dr. Martens collection will be available to buy on September 15 on Dr. Martens’ website.
