LOUTRE, the London-based skate-rooted label, is launching exclusively at Dover Street Market. The brand has made a name for itself in recent years, with its ultra-relaxed fit pants proving infectious for today’s fashion-forward skaters.
Founded by Pia Schiele in 2019, LOUTRE embodies the DIY ethos embedded in skate culture, seen through upcycling and the creation of one-off pieces to skate in. LOUTRE is distinct in its output, channeling all of this into garments that are constructed from environmentally friendly materials.
Schiele’s brand encourages its wearers to think about the connection between consumption and the environment through collaborations with makers, thinkers, artisans and programmers to pioneer new design and industry processes.
Campaign shots show a selection of textured LOUTRE knitwear, including structured trapper-style hats and jumpers. Relaxed denim is accented with metal detailing, incorporating a rugged DIY sensibility into the collection. Models are shot against a neutral backdrop, with hands in pockets as they stare down the lens. Loose-fitting pants appear alongside heavyweight hoodies, and branded jerseys are finished with LOUTRE branding on the chest.
Since being founded in 2019, LOUTRE has made a name for itself by designing high-impact clothing with a low-impact on the planet, breaking the mould with its sustainability-focused skatewear. The brand is repped by promising skaters, including Maité Steenhoudt and Mike Arnold.
The 11-piece LOUTRE Dover Street Market exclusive collection will release on Thursday, November 16, in-store and on the DSML E-Shop. Prices range from £125-£650.
