What we thought of Central Cee’s “CAN’T RUSH GREATNESS

After announcing the album back in October, it's been a long couple of months but "CAN'T RUSH GREATNESS" by Central Cee is finally out. We've now had a full weekend to fully take in the album so here are some of our thoughts on one of the UK's most anticipated albums.

The Skepta and Dave verses were defo the highlights and we can’t forget the Lil Baby verse that took over the world back in the Summer.

US x UK

There aren’t many UK rappers bridging the gap with the US like Cench, and the 21 Savage and Lil Durk appearances clearly tell us that no one’s got pull like he does.

King of samples

Central Cee has always loved sampling an RnB banger but hopping on Ne-Yo’s “So Sick” was just proof of how confident this guy really is and rightly so - the song’s a banger.

Keepin’ it real

Even with all this money and fame, Cench is still spittin’ relatable bars about him trapping,  coming from nothing and how the music industry will treat rappers.

Missing Madeline

He really wore his heart on his sleeve on “Now We’re Strangers,” opening up about his feelings for Madeline Argy but will it be enough to get her back?

Beef with Aitch

On “5Star,” he lowkey dissed Aitch after Cench got snubbed for a Brit award back in 2023. The Manchester rapper’s already clapped back with his new track “A Guy Called?” - Is this UK rap’s Kendrick vs Drake?

Corteiz x CRG

We got one blessing after another last Friday because alongside the album, Cench also dropped a Corteiz collab to match - LUNDUN reppin’.
