Tyler, the Creator drops a new sneaker collab with Converse

Converse is back for another collab with Tyler, the Creator (who’s performing in London this week btw), this time for the 1908 collection – reviving carefully curated archive silhouettes that link back to Converse’s rich history and impact on sneaker culture.

1908 is actually an ode to Converse – named after the year Converse was established – paying homage to the shoes that made the brand what it is today, from the Chuck Taylor to other archive designs.

The first 1908 drop introduces the Naut-1, a boat slip-on silhouette that’s coming out in four colourways: a light-blue and a brown monochrome as well as a Schnauzer print, and a floral embroidery with a “Le Fleur” graphic. And the Coach Jogger, a slim, low-profile shoe coming in a light-blue colourway, a coffee shade and a forest-green, nodding to retro running silhouettes from the ‘70s and ‘80s.

The two shoes reflect staples in the ’70s and ’80s prep crowd, and Tyler, with his sporty prep aesthetic, is the perfect collaborator for this.

The shoes drop on June 20th.
