Nike has linked up with stylist and creative Veneda Carter for a new iteration of the Air Max Muse.
The collab takes on Carter’s aesthetic of merging unexpected colours, textures and elements together with a white, military green and pink colourway. The shoe draws inspiration from rain gear and practical outerwear with the rubberised textures and reflective elements juxtaposed with the earthy hues. The sneaker also references her jewellery line with her signature gold texture on the aglet (the tip of the shoelace, IYKYK – shoutout Phineas and Ferb for that).
“The Air Max Muse is exactly the type of shoe I love to wear. It has this universal appeal that mixes a classic, sporty look with a feminine, sexy feel,” Carter said on the drop. “My goal in designing this expression of the Air Max Muse was to have my personality and energy shine through, so anyone who sees the shoe recognises it as my style right away.”
The chunky women’s silhouette, Air Max Muse, only released in late 2024, and it’s already a core member of the Air Max collection. Its exaggerated proportions with sleek finishes bring a futuristic aesthetic to the function, while showing off Nike’s classic Air Max cushioning for ultimate support.
The Nike x Veneda Carter Air Max Muse will be available top cop in-store at Naked Copenhagen on May 30th, globally at venedacarter.com on June 23rd, and across SNKRS and select retail locations on July 17th.
