Independent London-based label Miista just dropped its new project “We Carry Our Podiums”.
The brand’s new campaign celebrates its “Icons” – the signature shoes that made the brand what it is today – exploring what it means to make an icon and paying homage to its three most popular silhouettes by spotlighting them on the streets of Hackney.

The Asia, Miri and Brenda silhouettes were figuratively and literally put on a podium. The shoes were created into 3D-printed blocks (just like the ones used in competitions) and encouraged the East London community to step up on the podium and wear the Miista Icons, on a random weekday morning.
This campaign goes further than the shoes though: it’s empowerment project, bringing in the community and empowering the culture to honour their strengths and become their own.
The campaign drop coincides Miista’s new website relaunch, bringing a celebration of the brand’s strong designs over the years and the reminder that “You carry your own podium, every single day.”
