A$AP Nast is no stranger to the collaboration, launching killer projects with the likes of Converse, Reebok and more. In an homage to Lacoste’s tennis heritage, the label brought on Nast to launch a new sneaker – the L001 – that is inspired by the first sneaker creator by Rene Lacoste and a vintage racket from the brand’s history.
The sneaker arrives with a white leather base, and comes in two colorways – one featuring burgundy and mustard yellow hits, and the other a Stan Smith-esque green. In terms of shape, the L001 is akin to that of the AVIA 800 from the tech-basketball era of the early 80’s as well as classic tennis silhouettes like the Rod Laver and aforementioned Stan Smith.
The pairs are available now through Lacoste and Footlocker for £89.99 ($125).
