Cench, skaters, and Swoosh: The sickest pieces from the latest Jacquemus x Nike collection

Cench, skaters, and Swoosh: The sickest pieces from the latest Jacquemus x Nike collection

Fancy another one? Jacquemus just announced its third Nike collab, in time for the Paris Olympics, tapping Nike’s massive roster of athletes for the campaign. As well as athletes, the video is rammed with A-listers, including Central Cee, Manu Rios, Rein Judge, and Lila Moss, which, to be fair, makes sense given Simon Porte Jacquemus’ power to pull celebs from across the worlds of fashion, music, and movies to his off-schedule belter fashion shows.

The collection combines the best of Nike and Jacquemus with Jacquemus x Nike T-shirts, statement bras, long skirts, and trackies all getting the collab treatment. Standout pieces include a Jacquemus x Nike Air Max 1 and a Nike Swoosh handbag, ticking all the right boxes.

Fashion collabs are everywhere right now, and it takes a lot to cut through the noise, but this one actually made us stop scrolling and switch on, so we rounded up the best bits of Jacquemus and Nike’s newest collab.

A directional debut

Simon Porte Jacquemus designed the collection and directed the accompanying short movie J’aime Paris. Across the video, Jacquemus’ Paris plays host to a boatload of sports stars, athletes, musicians and models who all show the best that Paris has to offer ahead of the Olympics. Canoeing in a fountain? Yep. Footie in a restaurant? There’s that, too. But one sport we’ve not seen before is chaise lounge carrying, which Rein Judge put up a good case for as she sofa surfed between spots with the help of two removal workers. We’re not surprised it slaps, given Jacquemus’ internet-breaking approach to campaigns, which sees the independent brand push the boundaries of brand-led creativity online.

Jacquemus found inspiration from “Paris and in Nike’s athletes and the sports references I have always loved,” he shared, before describing it as “I see the collection as a mix of sport, fashion and culture in the most beautiful city in the world, where Nike athletes will take centre stage this summer.”

Jacquemus x Nike Air Max 1

It’d be rude to talk about this collab without mentioning the collaborative Jacquemus x Nike Air Max 1, the Tinker Hatfield-designed sport and style icon. These sexy sneakers are the third Jacquemus and Nike sneakers, following an initial Nike Air Humara LX and 2023’s J Force 1.

Central Cee and his dogs

As much as we’d love to see Cench sweating it out at the Paris Olympics, it isn’t going to happen. But Jacquemus gave us the next best thing, with Cench starring in the campaign, living it large with huskies wearing a red tracksuit. At the time of writing, it is unknown if the collaborative clobber arrived in Sprinter.

Paris, Paris, Paris

The Jacquemus x Nike campaign felt like a proper love letter to Paris and all its fashion and sporting glory. Spotlighting a diverse cast of athletes doing their thing in the French capital and the community spirit of sport is definitely something we can get behind. Jacquemus described being in Paris as “romantic, artistic, and beautiful,” and that’s exactly what we got in this campaign.

The Jacquemus x Nike collection is available now via the Jacquemus website and its Montaigne Paris boutique
