Giorgio Armani just brought his GOATed approach to menswear to the third day of Milan Men’s Fashion Week, with fur-trimmed jackets, sleek tailored suits, and even a selection of skiwear. Here’s what went down.
Faux fur and real drip
Giorgio Armani accessorised with fur this season, seen in the form of sleek striped jackets and fur-trim hoods. Some jackets were striped and fitted whilst others were textured and shaggy, but overall they were all dapper af.
Sleek tailored silhouettes
As per, Giorgio Armani delivered on tailoring in the only way he knows how: with sharp lines, precise cuts, and relaxed fits that culminated to remind us why he’s the GOAT. Jackets looked comfortable yet smart, trousers weren’t overly fitted nor excessively baggy - overall, tailoring walked the line between elevated and wearable.
Excessively big baggage
Leather goods came in clutch on the runway at Giorgio Armani’s FW25 show, appearing in the form of giant, oversized silhouettes that could fit anything inside. Backpacks in warm brown leather were blown up to huge proportions, canvas bags were stretched into wide new shapes, and briefcases were broadened into slouchy, oversized silhouettes.
Classic Italian wool suits
We’re in Italy, so obviously Giorgio Armani had to deliver some iconic Italian wool suits on the runway. Seen in sleek, classic grey, the tailored wool jackets, trousers, and shirts were a welcome reminder that, at Giorgio Armani, refined Italian craftsmanship and materials come first.
An après ski intermission
In the middle of Giorgio Armani’s show, the show space turned from clear white to deep blue and a group of après ski-style fits appeared on the runway, with goggles glinting and silver foil snowgear reflecting the spotlights. This brief intermission from classic tailoring to gorpy outdoors silhouettes was a refreshing update on the collection that reminded us: Giorgio Armani can do both.
His and hers looks closed
Closing the show, models walked in couples with linked arms to show off - not matching but coordinated - his and hers looks. The finalé looks were adorned with sequins, decorated with velvet, and appeared party-ready.
