We thought the extent of it would be to just slap on a pair of Sambas with your vintage AC Milan jersey but it’s gone way further than we could’ve imagined, especially with footwear.
Growing up, wearing astros (studless football boots) with jeans on the weekend was the norm and the transition to actual lifestyle trainers was a rite of passage to adulthood. After a decade, it seems like we’re rolling back the years and bringing back prime football nostalgia to our feet.
From Nike T90s and adidas Predators coming back to the streets to customisers like Samuel Falzone and Sneaker Phatm making a lug derby out of our favourite childhood boots, it seems like fashion footwear’s become a real pitch invader. Wearing football shoes doesn’t make you a “bloke” anymore, you’re just a fashion enthusiast now. ]
