StockX is helping you dodge fakes

Even though reps and fakes might be more acceptable nowadays, there’s nothing worse than buying something online, thinking it’s authentic and finding out that it's not. That’s why you should be shopping for your fashion grails on StockX, giving us all that peace of mind that whatever we end up buying will be the real thing.

What you might not know about reps is that, according to StockX’s annual Brand Protection & Customer Support report, counterfeiters aren’t just going for the rarest, most hyped sneakers anymore, with the most faked shoes being the Adidas Campus 00s and Adidas Samba OG. These are two pretty common, inexpensive shoes that don’t really have much hype around them - they’re just popular general release sneakers.

That doesn’t mean the more hyped or expensive sneakers aren’t being faked anymore, with everyone’s favourite Travis Scott x Nike Jordan 1 sneakers (the Canary low pair, to be specific) ranking third on the list followed by New Balance 2002R Protection Pack and Maison Mihara Yasuhiro Hank trainers. They blocked over 30,000 pairs from entering the marketplace in 2024 for being suspected fakes so that should say a lot about the amount of reps floating around in the market that you might not even know about.

The same goes for apparel with Fear of God Essentials being the most counterfeited in its category and also the best-selling on the platform - even though their products are pretty easily attainable. It just goes to show that the trust you can have on StockX goes a long way, even if you can find the same things cheaper on other platforms and spaces.

Fakes are getting better every year and they’re not as easy to legit check as they used to be. StockX aren’t trying to fall behind either so they’re bolstering their investment on verification processes to make sure they stay on top of it all. From automated high-risk product routing that looks at the historical data of a specific product’s authenticity checks to CT scanning technology that takes X-ray images of items to look at the internal structure that’s usually overlooked with reps.

With all these efforts to make sure everything you buy is authentic, why wouldn’t you shop at StockX?
