Known for having the “best tracksuit in the game,” cult-followed Sweats Collective has been making quite the name for themselves on social media this past year. And for good reason too, given the brand’s perfected the art of blank staples by pairing immaculate silhouettes with heavyweight fabrics of the highest quality.
Started off in 2020 by founder Jake Wilson, Sweats Collective has always intended on making the best blanks on whatever silhouette they attempted to tackle, whether it be track hoodies, t-shirts or pleated trousers. The pieces from the brand are intended to act as understated, complimentary garments to statement pieces in people’s wardrobes, creating modular clothing that still holds their own with contemporary, boxy cuts.
With a wide array of products ranging from puffer jackets to mesh tops to even camo trousers, their most popular items can be found in their “Cozy Collection” - a collection dedicated to their essential athleisure. Featuring hoodies, sweatpants and everything in between, all the pieces in the offering are constructed from a 460GSM custom cotton-poly blend that offers a structured look whilst still remaining soft and comfortable.
Since launching, the London-based brand has gained a cult following on TikTok, with big creators and influencers such as @valentinoxdior and @helentxo heavily endorsing the brand and even featuring in their “Sweats and Friends” campaign that was unveiled in late August.
They also released a promotional campaign video earlier this month titled “Based On A True Story” that visually realised an email from a customer explaining how their Sweats Collective tracksuit was stolen amongst other valuables. Directed by a close friend of the brand, Luis Campbell, this high-production short film not only shows the ambitions the brand has moving forward but the impressive growth they’ve achieved in just four years.
With their biggest restock dropping just over a week ago, Sweats Collective isn't showing any signs of slowing down. Their tracksuits have the whole industry in a chokehold and it’s only a matter of time before the title of “best tracksuit in the game” becomes something bigger and better.
