It’s only the beginning for SIMPLE PROJECT but it seems like they’ve already cooked up their recipe for success.

Based in Hangzhou, Chinese designer duo Chen Hang and Wang Yue Feng founded SIMPLE PROJECT in 2016 as a means of experimenting with minimalistic clothing to incorporate into their own wardrobes. The result is anti-fashion adjacent clothing that reimagines traditional silhouettes with heavy references from Chinese and Japanese subcultures - probably from their time studying at Nippon Bunka Fashion College.
Shapes and cuts remain sleek yet versatile whilst playfulness is implemented in the textures and added details that sometimes combine two subgenres of fashion for an interesting juxtaposition - making everyday fits just that little bit more interesting.

It’s impossible not to mention the Nevada Wash jeans that got SIMPLE PROJECT’s name out there for the dreamy, vintage wash that looks too good to be true. Mixed with that baggy, relaxed fit that so many of us are after, it's the perfect jeans to pair with anything you already have in your wardrobe. The new FW24 has some standout pieces too, with our favourite being the Structured Painter Jeans that have subtle laser-printed fading details that, paired with their signature wide fit, make them an impeccable pair of denim.
With a showroom in Paris coming at the end of January in Paris, it'll be the perfect chance for you to see the clothes in hand. For now make sure to check out the website here.
