Rick Owens has just opened a new store in Berlin

Goths and techno bros gather up: the Lord of Darkness has finally opened a store in Berlin. Rick Owens just announced on his IG that his new store in the German capital is now open for business, becoming the 12th Rick Owens flagship globally (joining his cult Paris, New York and LA boutiques). And, honestly, we’re surprised it hadn’t opened sooner. Rick and Berlin just make sense together.

“Like a lot of people, my first perceptions of Berlin as a teen just starting to make aesthetic choices, where Marlene Dietrich and Hansa Studios, where Bowie recorded Heroes and mixed Iggy’s The Idiot. And I never really moved on from there. Bleakness and glamour, fear and fatalism, discipline and collapse, rigour and romance, Fassbinder and Christiane F., glittering doom. This is still all I ever think about. Offensively reductive? I know there is so much more to Berlin but this is my own personal little breathlessly delusional takeaway. And now I can’t believe we’re opening a store here,” Rick said on his Instagram announcement.

He added: “And when I first looked at the space I asked myself, what would [Joseph] Beuys do? I hope you like it…”

This is Rick’s year. In the span of a few months, Rick has launched an OnlyFans page, and a triumphant retrospective exhibition titled “Temple of Love”, which opened straight after his SS26 menswear show at Palais Galliera back in June (it will be running until April 2026). The exhibition, curated by Rick himself, celebrated Rick’s three-decade-long legacy and career.

The Rick Owens Berlin Flagship is now open, located at Schlüterstraße 45, in the Charlottenburg neighbourhood.
