NAMESAKE’s AW25 collection is too clean

NAMESAKE - the brand founded by three brothers to honour their dad - just presented its AW25 collection, which fittingly is an exploration of family, connection, and growth. Referencing the three brother’s familial heritage, the collection is rooted in memories, set against two backdrops: the elder brothers’ college years in Bellevue, and the spiritual landscapes of Bhutan, where their parents experienced on a life-altering journey.

Titled “AFTERNOON,” NAMESAKE comments in its notes on the collection that it was “inspired by a father and son’s awkward yet tender adventure to a lakeside picnic.” You can find that vibe in the youthful characteristics of slouchy beanies and baseball shirts, juxtaposed against the smart tailoring and formal ties worn in other looks - different pieces seem to portray the attitudes and styles of the dad vs. the son.

Characterised by fits that are prepped against the outdoors - whether you’re traversing a mountain or walking the city streets - the collection walks the line between functional and fashionable with ease. Tailored jackets and pressed slacks contrast with printed puffer jackets, offering a versatile range of pieces that span from styled to innovative.
