The Lyst 2024 Q4 Index has dropped and this is what’s trending

Lyst has just released its Q4 Index report for 2024. Miu Miu remains at the top, earning the crown of “world’s hottest brand” of 2024. Second comes Saint Laurent, which has been steadily rising with every report, and Prada maintains its position in the top three. Coach skyrocketed itself to the top five, climbing 10 spaces since Q3 (with demand up 65% quarter to quarter) and its shoulder bag was the top trending product for Q4. Loewe dropped to fourth position.

Ugg and Cos make a surprise appearance, ranking 10th and 17th respectively. Ugg is a seasonal success every year – searches have surged by 358% in the last three months, and its classic ultra mini boot was the second most trending product. Skims keeps moving up, now in 11th position. And Balenciaga is slowly building its clout by climbing two spaces, ranking 15th. Lyst’s “Moving Fast” brands for this quarter were Our Legacy, Demellier and Auralee.

Overall, the Index indicates a rising interest in more budget-friendly options with Coach, Ugg, Cos and Massimo Dutti taking top spots on the “Hottest Products” list, as the luxury market decline continues. The report also nods to “capsule wardrobe” trends, with shoppers looking for minimal, clean and sleek designs, whatever the price tag: from luxury brands such as Bottega and Saint Laurent to Cos, to Our Legacy and Auralee boosting in searches.
