Is time speeding up or is it just us? It seems like just yesterday that New York, London, Milan and Paris were playing host to the last set of fashion week shows, bringing press, celebrities and fashionistas alike piling into each city for a week of runway shows, debaucherous parties and a dwindling Uber rating.
With things only set to get faster, you’d be forgiven for not planning your ‘fits yet. Whilst the four major fashion week cities (New York, London, Milan and Paris) are back-to-back this season, they actually all possess quite a different vibe. From the edge that London brings to the classic high fashion fits regularly spotted in Paris, it’s a minefield out there.

STELLA (NYFW)
Sometimes overlooked in the fashion month schedule, NYFW kicks things off in the calendar. Adding an extra layer of hectic-ness to an already frantic city, there’s a lot going on. I’m sticking to an updated take on an old classic - a white tank and ‘jeans’. Substituting denim for leather, I’m pairing the Bottega trousers with Prada’s classic tank, which debuted last season, and accessorising with the it-bag of the moment, which is actually pretty practical. Ahh, window shopping.

Wearing both emerging and established designers, my selection of pieces for London Fashion Week combine sharp cuts with asymmetric shapes. The apparel is paired with a bold tone of red which is carried through both sunglasses and a functionally sized bag. I also wanted to explore asymmetry within the outfit, from the classic Heliot Emil cuts all the way down to accessories. The necklace from Rosie Grace Ward draws attention through its fluid, wild curves.

If I've learned anything from attending previous fashion weeks, it’s that it’s going to be HAWT. You literally spend the day on your feet, running from show to show, then to a café to quickly get some work done, then to an event - the list goes on… You. Never. Stop. So this time around, I want to be prepared.
I’ve opted for a breathable (yet stunning) Casablanca shirt, paired with some white Gant sailor trousers. Keeping with the Italian theme, I opted for a somewhat casual outfit, as the majority of stereotypical Italian style is a nice pair of trousers with loafers. To make it more modern though, I spruced up the fit with some chunky Naked Wolfe loafers, rounding the ‘fit off with a pair of jaw-dropping Givenchy sunglasses, and of course a lil’ AMI bag that i can only carry some loose change in (fashion before practicality people).
