After countless teasers and announcements - not to mention the hype that it’s had since it was initially unveiled in January - the Junya Watanabe MAN x New Balance 1906 Loafers seem to finally be dropping, for real this time.
Slated for a release tomorrow (1st November), the “snoafer” went viral for splitting opinions when it was first shown at Paris Fashion Week earlier this year. But, as the months have gone by, more and more people seem to have warmed up to the idea of a sneaker-loafer hybrid.
Being a Frankenstein-ed 1906 New Balance with its ultra comfy midsole, the upper features a predominantly leather makeup with glossy accents on the cage, mudguard and heel counter. The iconic penny loafer strip runs along the top of the shoe with Junya Watanabe MAN branding on the tongue tab. The shoes will be available in tonal black and white with a black midsole.
