The hardest Umbro grails of all time

You know that the legendary Brit brand behind the England football kit, loved by football fans and ravers alike would have some cult grail items.

Throughout its 100-year-old legacy, Umbro has brought us some hard collabs with Vetements, Slam Jam and Palace, plus legendary kits and pieces that have stayed on our Grailed and StockX watch-lists. With its sportswear synonymous with ‘90s and Brit pop, Umbro has a rich heritage of dripping out Oasis, the England football team through the years as well as the entire English nation.

From cold collabs to Man City jerseys, we’ve rounded up the 10 best Umbro grails of all time.

This jersey’s up on eBay for up to £450 atm. The football-inspired jersey + shorts from the 2022 Supreme x Umbro collab, features a Gothic typeface and a subtle chequered pattern. This drop also included a Supreme-branded football.

The Palace x Umbro “Palio” jersey from 2024

From the most recent linkup between the two Brit streetwear OGs, the “Palio” jersey showcases artwork from ESP’s ‘90s rave series Dreamscape for the sick graphics. The goalie jersey features the number 7 at the back as well as the Palace and Umbro logos and crest badges. The release came out with three colourways, but the green one just hits hard.

The “Maine Road” Drill tee that Liam Gallagher wore in 1996

When Oasis performed at their homecoming gig at Manchester City FC’s Maine Road Stadium in 1996, Liam Gallagher allegedly nicked this legendary Drill top from the changing room saying: “I went backstage, there was some player’s f*cking Umbro gear just sitting there and I thought, ‘I’m having a bit of that’, tried it on, f*cking freebie innit, and I f*cking pinched it and f*cking wore it.” Real Liam Gallagher type sh*t.

The Man City “brother” jersey from 1993/1994

The Man City kit famously worn by the Gallagher brothers (photographed by Kevin Cummins), the “brother” jersey was a ‘90s icon around Manny. Brother, a Japanese electronics and electrical goods company, sponsored Man City from ‘87 all the way through ‘99, being one of the most long-lasting sponsorship deals in English football.

The Slam Jam x Umbro masked hood plaid overshirt from 2024

Part of the Slam Jam Umbro “Penalty Culture” collection that reminded us how cold Umbro can be, this plaid overshirt is a dream cop (if only it didn’t get sold out within a minute). The masked hood detail is so strong.

The Paul Smith x Umbro trackie from 2002

One of the early sportswear x designer collabs – before it was a weekly kinda thing – Paul Smith linked up with Umbro for a limited edition collection. The trackie has both logos on the chest, and the white and blue colourway is reminiscent of the England kit.

The Off-White x Umbro checked shirt from 2017

Remember when Virgil Abloh linked up with Umbro? For his SS17 Off-White collection, Virgil collaborated with the Brit brand for deconstructed plaid shirts. No cap we’d still cop now, this sh*t is timeless.

The Oasis blue/yellow promo jersey from 1997

If you haven’t sensed a pattern yet, Oasis loved Umbro. And played a major role in its popularity in the ‘90s. This super-rare promo jersey was given out by Sony Music for the release of the Be Here Now album in 1997.

The Vetements x Umbro hoodie from 2018

If you remember this collab you’re a real one. Vetements joined forces with Umbro in 2018 for some Vetements-type shit with the Umbro and Vetements logos merged together.

The Butter Goods x Umbro training pullover from 2024

Love this Butter Goods x Umbro linkup. This specific “training” top takes the cult Umbro banner on the V-collar, and uses ‘90s aesthetics for cosy vibes. You can still cop on buttergoods.com

The Umbro by Kim Jones T-shirt from 2007

Did you know that Kim Jones (yeah, Dior’s Kim Jones) designed for Umbro back in the 2000s? This sick graphic T-shirt is part of a wider capsule collection by the menswear designer.
