Kim Kardashian "forgives" one of her "grandpa robbers"

Kim Kardashian is currently in court in Paris, giving evidence in the trial of the gunpoint robbery she was the victim of in the city in 2016.

The 10 men on trial have been charged with involvement in the robbing of jewels worth millions of euros from Kardashian. The group has been dubbed the “grandpa robbers” by French media, as some of them are elderly. Eight of the accused deny any involvement.

During the trial, the judge read out a letter defendant Aomar Ait Khedache wrote following his arrest in 2017, in which he apologised for the “pain” he caused the reality star. Khedache admitted his involvement in the heist, but denies claims by French authorities that he played a leading role.

"I do appreciate the letter, for sure, I do appreciate it," Kardashian said upon hearing it, “I forgive you, but it doesn’t change that – the feelings and the trauma and the way my life is forever changed.”

Kardashian’s friend and stylist, Simone Haroushe, who was downstairs the night of the robbery, also took to the stand and said that both she and Kim suffered from PTSD after the event. She also said that Kardashian had suffered a life-changing loss of personal freedom.

At another point during the trial, Kardashian claimed that during the robbery she had been convinced she was going to be raped and killed

The trial, which will be decided by three judges and a six-person jury, is set to last until the end of May.
