With NYFW over, LFW about halfway through and Milan and Paris just around the corner, fashion has been quite hectic, to say the least. But outside of the realm of runways, there are new collections and collaborations dropping as well as new initiatives like Boiler Room’s fundraising for Turkey and Syria. ELLESSE TEASES NEW “VISIONARIES” CAMPAIGN
Craving a taste of summer? Enter Ellesse’s SS23 “Visionaries” campaign. Characterised by the themes of community and teamwork, the campaign is set to the backdrop of a playful padel tournament, with visuals that feel like summer came early. A group of diverse Ellesse Visionaries carry the campaign, interacting through the sport and showcasing the collection, which features an array of casual polo shirts, mini skirts, track sets, all in sweet summery pastels. MACHINE-A GETS A NAVINDER NANGLA MAKEOVER
Celebrating its 10 year anniversary, the SoHo store has tapped artist Navinder Nangla to tag Machine-A’s store. The “Fassion Is My Pashion” artist’s aesthetic lies in “destruction [as] a form of creation”, and Machine-A gave Nangla full control of the reins. From tagging on the store’s front windows to the marker-penned “10 anyversari” mirrors, Machine-A has received a brand new look.

LONDON FASHION WEEK IS STILL UNDERWAY
Today marks day 4 of LFW and so much has happened already. From Chet Lo’s rebirth with an almost all-black collection to Ian McKellen’s surprise runway appearance and performance for S.S. Daley, London has brought its A game this season. Still to come in Moncler’s The Art of Genius event, the highly anticipated Daniel Lee debut for Burberry and Central Saint Martin’s famed MA Fashion show.

DSQUARED2 COLLABORATED WITH THE BOB MARLEY FOUNDATION
The iconic Jamaican reggae artist is remembered for many things, but many forget he was a symbol of 70s fashion. For its SS23 collection, the streetwear brand has tapped the Bob Marley Foundation to create a series of graphic clothing featuring Marley’s face and some of his best quotes, like “My home is in my head”. The collection offers an array of t-shirts, tank tops, hoodies and bags. The full collection is available now for purchase in Dsquared2 stores and online.

REESE COOPER & MERRELL PROVIDES WITH NEW SNEAKERS
In line with the RCI Reserve project, Reese Cooper’s sustainable-focused initiative that favours upcycling old materials, the American designer has teamed up with hiking footwear brand Merrell 1TRL to create three new shoes. The silhouettes include the MTL MQM, the MTL Long Sky 2 and the Hydro Runner, all of which will come in two separate colourways. This partnership is set to continue, with more collaborations coming out later this year.

BOILER ROOM IS RAISING FUNDS FOR TURKEY & SYRIA
Featuring graphic text that translates to “Together”, Boiler Room have released a limited edition t-shirt of which all sales profit will go to supporting those in Syria and Turkey. After the devastating earthquake that has killed over 40,000 people and injured 70,000, Boiler Room has chosen three charities to donate to: MOLHAM Volunteering, AKUT Search and Rescue Association, and Heyva Sor (Kurdish Red Crescent). The t-shirt is now available for purchase on Boiler Room’s website.

LVMH ANNOUNCES ITS SEMI-FINALISTS
As part of LVMH’s annual Prize award, the conglomerate has announced 22 semi-finalists, which include Johanna Parv who just showed as part of Fashion East’s talent roster this season, Kusikohc, Magliano, Namesake and more. The LVMH Prize has helped launch the careers of many including Jacquemus, Wales Bonner and Marine Serre. This year’s winner will likely be announced later in March.
