Dries Van Noten has a new creative director: Julian Klausner

Dries Van Noten has just announced its new creative director: Julian Klausner, its head of womenswear, who will be leading both men’s and women’s collections.

Klausner has been working at the Belgian fashion house since 2018, and eventually moved up to heading womenswear. Klausner will present his first Dries Van Noten menswear collection in January in the form of a lookbook, and his first runway collection for womenswear in March 2025.

”I am beyond thrilled to oversee the upcoming seasons as we begin the next chapter for this house,” Klausner said on his appointment. “The incomparable legacy that Dries is leaving behind is monumental, serving as an endless source of precious inspiration. I look forward to embarking on new ambitious challenges while honouring the heritage we all cherish.”

It’s a hefty title to take on. Belgian designer Dries Van Noten (a member of the Antwerp Six), holds a legendary role in the fashion world with his intelligent craftsmanship and creative, refined designs. But we doubt Klausner will let us down, as he was appointed by Dries himself: ”I have complete confidence in Julian’s creativity and vision,” said the designer. ”He is not only a talented designer, but also a clear choice to take over after my departure. His deep understanding of the brand and its values will ensure a seamless transition and a bright future.”
