Amsterdam-based Daily Paper was founded as a love letter to its founder’s love for music, art and culture, quickly progressing into a new beast as they expanded from blog into multi-faceted brand, fueled by a rich heritage of African culture in contemporary designs.
The label’s latest foray into the fashion sphere arrives as the embodiment of these values; “From Africa to the World” celebrates and commemorates the brand’s vision of borderless cultural exchange and bringing together unique communities from across the globe, in the process shining a light on continental Africa. The common motif across the collection is a graphic featuring two hands holding the Earth, which arrives emblazoned across T-shirts and hoodies through prints and then patched onto the back of premium-made varsity jackets.
“The range is an ode to the diaspora that represents culture across borders,” says co-founder Abderrahmane Trabsini, and launches tomorrow, August 25 from US$30 to US$420 through the Daily Paper web store.
