We linked up with Peggy Gou for her new Don Julio 194Gou collab

Peggy Gou pulled up in East London on Tuesday night for the launch of her new collaboration with Don Julio 1942: Don Julio 194Gou, releasing a limited-edition bottle. To celebrate the linkup, the world-famous DJ threw an exclusive party at cult East London concept store, LN-CC.

“Thank you so much everyone coming tonight, in the LN-CC,” Peggy told the crowd in her speech on the night. “I used to come here 12 years ago when they would do BoilerRoom, and I was always that person coming in first and leaving last. This was a dream collaboration, and I can’t believe this is out.”

We linked up with the GOAT on the night for a quick chat on manifesting, performing live, and her Don Julio preferences.

What vibe are you manifesting for this year?

“Calm tf down. Remaining calm, you know, calm energy. Whatever’s happening, a hectic life, crazy tour, I would still like to remain calm.”

Talk us through your fit.

“Is it giving? Idk sometimes people ask me what’s your look, I don’t want to describe it, I just want you to feel it.”

What’s the best thing about performing live?

“The best thing is, it’s hard to describe it because it's connecting with people, just the fact that you’re there to give the best time and good memories to people. And when you get that feeling it’s the best.”

And the worst?

“The worst is when the crowd isn’t giving. Basically when your mood is disconnected with the crowd.”

How do you drinking Don Julio?

“When you see a bottle of Don Julio, you know what it means. It kinda means let’s have fun. I love it as a shot, but I just discovered this new cocktail called Butterfly Pea (check), and I love a Paloma too, btw.”

Who would be your dream artist collab?

“That changes every year, but I think at the moment I’m pretty obsessed with Kendrick Lamar and Bad Bunny.”

The collector’s item bottle, designed by the DJ herself, is available to cop in-store at LN-CC until April 12th (if you’re about in London).
