Update, November 15, 2023: Bone Soda x Salomon is officially launching.
Following the release of a friends and family Bone Soda x Salomon RX Slide 3.0 earlier this summer, the two have got together to work on a general release Salomon XT-6 Expanse Leather. The shoe is constructed from a full-grain leather upper to ensure longevity and durability.
The colourful, gorp-gang-approved sneaker represents an ergonomic approach to living life in colour, seen in a “Vanilla Ice/ Black/ Soft Lavender” colourway. It nods to both the outdoor roots and city appeal of the XT-6 silhouette, with spider web detailing referencing the natural environment.
The Bone Soda x Salomon XT-6 Expanse was released on Sunday 12 November at Dijons, Bone Soda’s creative space. It will release globally on Friday, November 17 via Salomon.com
Original Article, November 10, 2023: Bone Soda is one of London’s most exciting creative imprints, and for its latest project, it has teamed up with Salomon for a second collaboration. Images which surfaced on Instagram teased the co-branded sneaker with an in-hand shot.
The preview shows the Hackney hiker’s old reliable, the Salomon XT-6, with an attention-focused, fashionable upgrade. It sees the trail-running sneaker crafted from a premium leather upper, with cream piping used to introduce a contrasting shade.
We also see a contrasting black midsole pair with a black tongue, which features both Salomon and Bone Soda branding. Unlike standard Salomon XT-6 models, the Bone Soda collaboration swaps the Salomon Quicklace system for rope-style laces, nodding to Bone Soda’s streetwear roots.
This is not the first time the two brands have worked together. In June this year, we saw the release of a friends and family BONOMONS RX Slide 3.0, which brought a gorpy summer-ready versatility to those lucky enough to get their hands on a pair.
