Photographer, artist, director and co-founder of ATHENE CLUB - the IG-based sports community - Zaineb Abelque is the young Moroccan-British creative bringing together community, art, fashion and diaspora all whilst creating a space for women to uplift each other through outdoor activities.
In 2023, the then-21-year-old’s “Inside, Outside” photography series broke the internet, spotlighting the vibes of Ramadan from her perspective as a self-described “child of the diaspora with no family in the UK.” Her work is always real, raw, and personal, characterised by a sense of optimism.
Zaineb Abelque’s recent exhibition “Trouvés” explored her longing for fluidity between her home and Western influences, a longing many of us feel. Her work for Kiko Kostadinov, Peachy Den, London Fashion Week, amongst others is just the start of her already rising career.
