ARKET’s got you quite literally covered this festival season. Anticipating the ever-disappointing and unpredictable UK weather, ARKET added Swedish brand Klättermusen to its roster in April just in time for summer shopping lists.
Klättermusen, the newest addition to ARKET’s assortment of external brands is its first venture in external ready-to-wear, and features items complimentary to the “modern-day market and lifestyle destination”’s offering, including outerwear from jackets to vests, and accessories from practical tote bags to the cross-body bag, a classic festival staple.
ARKET has 70 destinations worldwide and 25 physical stores, and mindfully selects pieces from other brands to curate an extensive collection for both men and women each season. Its latest addition Klättermusen was established in 1975, and specialises in mountaineering equipment, supplying outdoor enthusiasts with hardwearing and sustainable gear. ARKET’s decision to incorporate Klättermusen into its roster makes sense. The sportswear brand maintains a focus on quality and performance which complement’s ARKET’s collection and aligns with its brand values, and its RTW outerwear pieces fill a gap in the modern-day market’s offerings; RTW outerwear that’s ready for summers’ hikes, festivals, and even wet walks to shop.
Of the decision to add the brand to the roster last month, Karl Johan Bogefors, ARKET Brand & Communications Director said the collaboration is “a celebration of our shared values: we both aim to offer sustainable products and high-quality Nordic design, and we are honoured to offer their expertise in outdoor equipment to our audience”
ARKET’s curated selection of Klättermusen’s gear also features t-shirts and basic layers, and for the more technical, accessory chords and reflective touches, in sophisticated dark palettes with hints of bright hues. Styles carry classic Skandi signatures; clean cut leather, simple silhouettes and even a pair of black leather clogs. All pieces are made with sustainable materials and embody ARKET and Klättermusen’s shared mission to respect nature and its surroundings, from Klättermusen gear to festival fields.
