After a successful collaboration on the 610T last August, Aminé x New Balance are back with a new silhouette to brighten up the dark, winter days.
Named “BTEE470” after his high school Benson Tech in Portland, Oregon, the shoe is an homage to Aminé’s school’s radio program which inspired him to start writing and rapping. He says in his Instagram caption, “I wanted to pay homage to that fact with a $25,000 donation to radio program graduates to help with their college expenses.”
Paying homage to his high school’s colours, the upper is composed of snorkel blue overlays atop a persimmon orange-covered mesh. Details alluding to Benson Tech can be seen throughout including the school’s logo on the back tab, tongue tab and insole.
The box also pays tribute to his teenage years, resembling a computer and adorned with Benson Tech-themed stickers along with a pamphlet with his career achievements.
The Aminé x New Balance 740v2s will be available on 7th November.
