A MAGICAL COLLABORATION BETWEEN DISNEY AND KARL LAGERFELD
Celebrating Disney’s 100th anniversary this year, the late designer’s brand has created a special capsule collection, which will feature a hand-drawn sketch of Donald Duck by Karl himself. The long-time collaborators have come together again to create an array of outerwear, including a bomber jacket, as well as essentials. The KARL LAGERFELD x Disney 100 Years Of Wonder collection will be made available online on February 23.

CARHARTT WIP TAPS FINNEGAN TRAVERS
The American apparel brand has turned to British photographer Finnegan Travers for its SS23 campaign. The London-based artist is known for his textured images and delicate shots, which were highlighted in this collection campaign. Shot on the beachy coast of Devon and in the hectic centre of London, the images capture Carhartt’s latest pieces, such as a branded yellow crew neck sweater and a beige cropped hooded jacket, in a satisfying atmosphere in line with the brand’s youthful aesthetic.

VITALY VENTURES INTO HOMEWARE
The jewellery brand is expanding into homeware, with its first ever collection of the sort. Titled “Objects”, the collection features an array of aluminium pieces, including an ashtray, jewellery tray, coasters and more. All items are now readily available for purchase on Vitaly’s online site.

STÜSSY DROPS ITS SS23 COLLECTION
The American surf and skatewear has just released its new collection, which includes an array of workwear inspired pieces such as the Double Dye Work Jacket. Vibrant with colours and impactful with its prints, Stüssy’s SS23 line is rooted in earthy tones. The first collection drop is now available for purchase on the brand website.

AXEL ARIGATO WANTS YOU TO RUN A MARATHON
In line with its SS23 collection which sticks to the theme of travelling, Axel Arigato has released its new shoe, the Marathon R-Trail 50/50. Split down the middle, the sneaker comes in a red/pink and black/grey colourway. The shoes, as well as pieces of its collection such as Varsity jackets and denim trousers, are all up for grabs online now.

GLACIAL SHIVERS AT STINE GOYA
“This season, our love language is ice. Pure celebration of an endless winter” states Stine Goya of her latest collection titled “Freeze”. Inspired by Hans Christian Anderson’s Snow Queen and all things ski-related, the designer showed us an array of the warmest clothes that did not disregard style. A silver hooded puffer dress paired with leg warmers and a statement neon green faux fur coat, the Stine Goya woman is ready for Aspen.

ISSEY MIYAKE TAKES OVER GINZA
New location drop for the Japanese brand. Taking over four floors, the new store named ISSEY MIYAKE GINZA / 422 was inspired by the playfulness of the city. It is found just across the street from its 445 sibling, which is now the home of CUBE, a gallery-like space presenting the process of design, from initial ideas to production.

GERRIT JACOB’S SCUM
The proactively-titled FW23 collection by designer Gerrit Jacob explores queer aggression through its use of statement visuals. Contrasting his staple loud visuals with traditional garment-construction processes, Jacob creates a duality which is reflective of the duality between one’s self identity and the world’s perception of the wearer.

AI BRINGS COUTURE TO THE METAVERSE
The Institute of Digital Fashion has launched their AI-oDF Couture campaign, a venture designed by AI for the metaverse. Embracing technology as a creative tool, the new campaign questions the future of creatives and designers within the fashion realm.

CHAMPION GOES BOLD AND BRIGHT
For the launch of its SS23 Rochester collection, the sportswear brand looks forward to the vibrancy of the upcoming warmer seasons, creating a line of bright-coloured hoodies, tees, shorts and sweatpants. Bold and eye-catching, the new collection is a feel-good roundup of Champion’s staple pieces.

HELLY HANSEN GOES SKIING
The Norwegian sports brand Helly Hansen turns to the slopes for inspiration for its 232 AW23 collection. Old models are revamped this season, including fleece and the ARC Slope jackets. We also see the introduction of new pieces, namely accessories from bucket hats to water bottles, preparing its customers for any activity in any weather.

DOJA CAT CONFIRMS AN ALBUM IS SET TO DROP THIS YEAR
The rap and pop artist has confirmed the drop of her fourth album, which will be much more rap-focussed. The “Say So” artist’s last release was last year with “Vegas” for the Elvis biopic, which did show off her talent as a rap artist. Little is known about the album’s title, tracklist or possible features, but fans are already speculating what is to come, considering Doja Cat is known for teasing and leaving clues pointing towards her unreleased projects.
