It’s CULTED with your weekly COVID-19 round-up. Here are last week’s stand-out headlines!
First up, Mytheresa raised over €350,000 for the Red Cross to help with relief efforts in Europe.
The retailer donated 10% of its revenue from its full price turnover for the month of March.
Next, Louis Vuitton donated 2500 masks to New York’s MTA workers.
The resources come at a crucial time as reportedly more than 80 MTA workers have died since the pandemic hit, and thousands have tested positive.
In other news, Post Malone relaunched his lifestyle brand, Shaboink, which includes a partnership with Direct Relief to provide protective equipment to medical workers.
As part of the partnership Post Malone’s brand will donate 40,000 N95 masks which will be distributed to workers around the US.
And last, Condé Nast furloughed another 100 employees and more staff members will also be placed on reduced hours.
This comes after the firm already laid off 100 US staffers and introduced cost cutting measures in early April. While they didn’t disclose where job losses would occur, WWD reports that it’s likely to be in areas heavily impacted by the pandemic, like events.
That’s it for last week. Let us know what stood out to you!
