New week, new happenings. A lot has been going on this week in the worlds of fashion, art and culture – some more unlikely than others. In the week that the UK finally cooled down again, we saw a whole host of celebrity-brand link ups. Nicolas Cage entered his supermodel era, Martha Stewart became (more of) a streetwear icon, and Pa Salieu was tapped by one of our favourites. Elsewhere, new collections dropped, and new initiatives launched. Let’s get into it.
GO BTS OF THE GIVENCHY X DALMATIANS CAPSULE

After releasing their capsule collection earlier this year, Givenchy and Disney have given us a glimpse into the process – the behind the scenes of making the capsule. Teaming up as brands which “combine magic and fantasy in their own way”, the video explores how the Disney team in Cali worked with Williams in Paris, giving us an insight into how it all went down.
NICOLAS CAGE & CASABLANCA: NAME A MORE ICONIC DUO

Nicolas Cage has been serving looks, but his recent appearance in Casablanca’s latest campaign has truly solidified his fashion icon status. Appearing alongside Alton Mason and Anok Yai, his whole vibe fits with Casablanca’s ode to LA and Hollywood seamlessly. Who would’ve thought it.
DR MARTENS HAS ALWAYS BEEN FOR THE STUDENTS

You’d be hard pressed to enter any uni campus without spotting at least 5 pairs of Dr. Martens, but the heritage footwear brand has now partnered with five CSM MA Fashion students to create bespoke designs – all of which are reinterpreting the theme of ‘All Access Summer’ in their own individual way. Alongside a much-needed financial injection from the brand to support their visions, the initiative donated to the course itself, as part of the brand’s ongoing support of emerging creatives.
A-COLD-WALL* LINKS UP WITH PA SALIEU

ACW*’s pre Fall 22 just got that bit hotter with the inclusion of Pa Salieu. Blending genres and influences, Salieu’s ability to examine the existing social landscape while imagining new futures and possibilities place him firmly in line with core ACW* themes set by Samuel Ross – a partnership formed through shared experience and intention.
WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF MONÉ

Monaco-based MONÉ echoes the heritage of Monaco and the spirit of the Côte d’Azur. It’s new collection, ETE 22, continues to build on its cultural roots inspired by the Riviera, through the lens of iconic duos throughout the ages. From Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg, Sara & Gerald Murphy or Cary Grant & Grace Kelly, the romance of the couples is translated into the romance of the setting – think glamour, summer and sleek tailoring.
BEATS ARE LOOKING TO THE FUTURA

Beats and Futura Laboratories have done it again – dropping a limited edition pair of collaborative Beats Studio Buds with the artist’s signature ‘atom’ motif taking centre stage. Championing their ability to drown out the unnecessary noise, FUTURA noted that the buds take him “to an entirely isolated inner space”, creating the perfect platform to create on.
ANTI SOCIAL SOCIAL CLUB AND MARTHA STEWART WAS NOT ON OUR BINGO CARDS

Martha Stewart has been a long-time cultural icon – but she just got a whole lot more fashionable, thanks to her campaign with ASSC. Keeping things tame for this drop, the six piece capsule sees 2 images of Stewart with the brand’s logo overlaid, set to come on tees and hoodies which will be available tomorrow. Set your alarms.
