It’s CULTED with your Wednesday NEWSRUSH.
First up, Gentle Monster has announced a new collab with singer Kris Wu. The collection, called ‘Gentle Wu’, sees four new models of sunglasses in a range of colours from the more simple colour palette of black and gold, to bold neon and transparent colour-ways.
Next up, Supreme will be honouring Leigh Bowery with its upcoming spring drop, and a portion of the proceeds will go to the visual AIDS organisation. The collection is made up of a long-sleeved shirt, two hoodies and a t-shirt, featuring artwork of Bowery by Jim Krewson, Fergus Greer, and Michael Costiff.
In other news, Naomi Campbell has relaunched her web series ‘No Filter With Naomi’ with an episode dedicated to the Black Lives Matter movement.
The video was released yesterday on her YouTube channel and features Rev. Al Sharpton, author and Co-Founder of BLM Opal Tometi, and President of the Human Rights Campaign Alphonso David.
And to round off this morning’s NEWSRUSH, Condé Nast has once again pledged to improve diversity during its annual NewsFronts pitch to advertisers. CEO Roger Lynch said “It shouldn’t take the horrendous murder of innocent people like George Floyd to make us wake up as a society, but now we need to listen, learn and take quick action to be a positive force as an industry,”
That’s all for this morning it’s Sam with CULTED.
