Wednesday News Rush Featuring Met Gala Cancellation.

It’s CULTED with your Wednesday NEWS RUSH.

First up, The Met Gala has officially been cancelled, after being postponed indefinitely back in March.

The Museum’s ‘About Time: Fashion and Duration’ exhibition will still open in October but the museum’s funds have taken a hit due to the cancelled fundraiser.

In other news, Gareth Pugh is plotting his return to fashion.

The designer recently bought back the 49% stake in his company which was sold to Rick Owens back in 2006. Pugh is aiming to present a new innovative collection for his brand, as soon as September, but details are still a work in progress.

UPDATE: Next up, Solange Knowles agency, Saint Heron, has organised a virtual festival to spotlight graduate work at Parsons School of Design.

The Here and Now festival will highlight the projects of the university’s final year fashion students. Full details are yet to be released.

And to round off today, Louis Vuitton has released its iconic soft trunk in 10 new colourways for SS20.

The new soft trunk collection retails between $3,650 and $4,900, with a crocodile skin style priced at $34,000. The new look bags are available now on the LV website.

That’s all for today.

It’s Sam with CULTED. Happy Wednesday.
