First up, the first trial of a vaccine to protect against coronavirus has started in the US. The trial began yesterday but experts say it will take months to find out if the vaccine definitely works. But hey it’s a step in the right direction.
In similar news, Moncler has donated €10 million to help the region of Lombardy in Italy. The money will help build a new hospital designed specifically to treat coronavirus patients.
Next up, John Lewis is expanding its fashion buy-back service, following the success of its pilot in Oxford. The initiative aims to combat the amount of clothes being sent to landfill, allowing users to “responsibly pass” on unwanted clothes.The trial has been expanded to 5 more stores and allows shoppers to take back all preloved items from brands stocked at John Lewis.
Finally, Johnny Coca has confirmed that he’s leaving his role as creative director of Mulberry. The hunt for his successor is now underway. Stay tuned for more on this later.
