Wednesday NEWSRUSH Featuring Burberry’s LGBTQ+ Commitment.
It’s CULTED with your Wednesday NEWSRUSH.
First up, Dazed Media is donating 50,000 masks to the Emergency Designer Network in response to dwindling PPE supplies. The network will distribute them to charities and organisations around the UK, including The British Pregnancy Advisory Service, Royal Trinity Hospice and Hampstead Marie Curie.
Next up, Burberry is continuing its support of the LGBTQ+ community this Pride Month by partnering with UK Black Pride, Stonewall and long-standing charity partner the Albert Kennedy Trust. The luxury brand has made undisclosed donations to these charities, which it says are “dedicated to driving meaningful change”.
In other news, a pair of Miu Miu boots worn by Bella Hadid have fetched a whopping £10,000 in a charity auction held by Vogue, in collaboration with the pre-loved fashion site, Hardly Ever Worn It. For British Vogue’s July issue, 23 supermodels, including Adut Akech and Gigi Hadid, came together to donate items to the auction which raised £55,000 for NHS Charities Together and the NAACP.
And to round off this morning, Emma Watson has joined Kering as the chair of its sustainability committee.
That’s all for this morning it’s Sam with CULTED.
