It’s CULTED with your morning NEWSRUSH for Wednesday 16th September.
First up, Emily Ratajkowski has accused photographer Jonathan Leder of a sexual assault that took place during a 2012 photoshoot. The details came out in an essay published by The Cut in which Ratajkowski details alleged events which happened during an unpaid shoot for Darius magazine when she was 20. A representative for Leder’s publishing company, Imperial Publishing has denied the allegations in a statement given to Page Six.
In other news, Burberry’s Riccardo Tisci has invited artist Anne Imhof to collaborate on the upcoming SS21 show experience. The SS21 collection will come to life in a live physical presentation that can be viewed digitally at 1pm BST on 17 September.
Next up, Net-a-porter has named the next emerging brands that will take part in its Vanguard mentorship program. The brands include Next In Fashion winner Minju Kim, ArtClub, and jewelry label JiaJia.
And to round off this morning’s updates, Kanye West has claimed that he won’t release new music until he’s released from his Sony and Universal contracts. Kanye said this and more in a new string of tweets which hinted at a Yeezy Media/Universal joint venture.
