Wednesday News Rush Featuring Yeezy Lawsuit.

It’s CULTED with your Wednesday NEWS RUSH.

First up, YEEZY is facing yet another lawsuit.

Backbone PLM, who provide management tools for brands, is claiming that the brand owes up to $125,000 for using their software without paying, according to The Fashion Law.

The firm has said “despite the repeated requests, as of the date of this complaint, [YEEZY] has made no payment towards the outstanding invoices”.

Next up, Jacopo Venturini has been hired as Valentino’s new CEO, after the brand has seen a slump in sales in recent years.

Over the last 5 years, Venturini played a key role in boosting Gucci’s reputation, overseeing the rise of Alessandro Michele. He is now hoping to lift Valentino sales in the same way.

Venturini will take over from Pierpaolo Piccioli as CEO of Valentino on June 1.

In other news, Comme des Garçons has collaborated with Nike on a new drop coming out tomorrow.

The release sees 2 new pairs of Dunk Low sneakers, available in both logo print and unadorned styles. Each Dunk uses a semi translucent fabric and you can cop them from Dover Street Market. The price is yet to be confirmed.

That’s all for today’s news.

It’s Sam with CULTED. Have a great Wednesday.
