Wednesday NEWS RUSH Featuring Savage x Fenty Scandal.
It’s CULTED with your morning NEWS RUSH.
First up, Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty line is being accused of deceptive marketing. The brand is being criticised for tricking customers into signing up for a £50 monthly subscription that’s difficult to get out of.
Stay tuned for more on this story later.
In other news, the French government has passed new legislation banning the destruction of unsold goods – and yes this includes clothes.
The law has now been approved and will call for clothing brands to donate unsold goods rather than destroy them.
Up next, Pornhub stars made headlines by walking the runway in New York fashion week. Berlin brand Namilia sent the stars down the runway to deconstruct Asian stereotypes in porn and make the statement that porn isn’t ‘existentially male’.
Moving on, Rebecca Black took to Twitter to reveal the negative effects that her song ‘Friday’ had on her mental health. 9 years after its initial release, Rebecca recalled dealing with depression, bullying and rejection from the music industry.
Here at CULTED, we’re sending all our love her way.
And finally, it’s Wednesday which means we’re taking a look at the week’s latest drops. The full drops video will be up later today, featuring Nike, Daniel Arsham and more.
It’s Sam with CULTED.
Happy Humpday and make sure to check back soon for more in-depth news!
