On Monday the 13th January, Nikkie de Jager aka NikkieTutorials, posted a video on her Youtube channel titled “I’m coming Out.’’, announcing that she is transgender.
The OG Youtube beauty guru, has over 13 million Instagram followers, and over 12.9 million Youtube subscribers.
She has made videos with celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian West, Drew Barrymore and Doutzen Kroes.
In her video, she explains she knew from a young age she was born into the wrong body, and “always thought she was a girl’’.
She started taking hormones when she was 14 and was fully transitioned by 19.
Nikkie’s announcement has been met with an overwhelmingly positive response from her audience, other YouTubers and celebrities.
Since the announcement, Nikkie has gained nearly 500k new subscribers. You go, girl!
In the video, Nikkie also says she would have wanted to share the news on her own terms, but that chance “was taken away from her’’.
