Now we were all gagged when M.I.A. said she would rather “choose death” than get a coronavirus vaccine. The comments of course didn’t go down well and the anti-vax debate was once again brought to the table.
But M.I.A.’s statement has come back to haunt her as British Vogue has now reportedly pulled an upcoming feature on the singer. Editor Edward Enninful can allegedly be seen withdrawing his offer for a feature in a series of texts that M.I.A. posted to her insta story.
“Considering our August is an issue where we’re chronicling the struggles of the NHS to cope while a vaccine is tried to be made we don’t feel we can have her involved.”
M.I.A. had a lot to say about this and accused the publication of overlooking how she helped “Jeremy Corbyn fight for the NHS, when everyone voted Boris”.
She also went on to sarcastically thank Vogue for giving her “the time to research how many people’s lives have been affected by enforced vaccines across many African countries”.
