It’s CULTED with your Tuesday NEWSRUSH.

First up, 250 Black fashion creatives signed a petition last week calling for the CFDA to review recent changes to its anti-racism policy, following the BLM movement.

The group of creatives said that the CFDA has “allowed exploitative cultures of prejudice, tokenism, and employment discrimination to thrive”. They are calling on the CFDA to create more career opportunities for Black professionals and provide “data on the racial makeup of employees at all levels”.

In other news, Gucci has launched a new sustainable collection called ‘Off The Grid’. The collection uses recycled, bio-based, organic and sustainably sourced materials and the ad campaign features Jane Fonda, Lil Nas X and more!

Next up, despite COVID-19, Hermés has reached a record high value, breaking €80Bn after its stock prices climbed by 5%.

And to round off this morning’s updates, Olivier Rousteing took to Instagram to unveil Balmain’s new digital showroom. The “virtual showroom” houses Balmain’s cruise collection and even features an uncanny avatar of Olivier himself.

That’s all for this morning it’s Sam with CULTED.
