Tuesday NEWSRUSH Featuring Celine Going Digital.
It’s CULTED with your Tuesday NEWSRUSH.
First up, a pair of Nike sneakers worn by Michael Jordan look set to become the most expensive sneakers ever to be sold at auction. The sneakers were worn by Jordan during his backboard-shattering dunk in ‘85 and will be sold at Christie’s, along with 10 other collectibles. The shoes are estimated to sell for up to $850,000, which would beat the record currently held by Sotherby’s for another pair of AJ1s that sold for $560,000 earlier this year.
Next up, Celine will debut its upcoming mens collection online in a project called “The Dancing Kid”. Set to be a filmed runway show, the digital broadcast will happen tomorrow at 3pm BST on celine.com, Instagram and TikTok.
In other news, Chloe x Halle are the new faces of Fendi’s #MeAndMyPeekaboo campaign and for the first time ever, the luxury fashion house gave the stars complete control over the video’s creative direction.
And to end this morning’s headlines, Mr Porter just relaunched its tee store. The store features tees by some of menswear’s most popular names, like Casablanca, Acne Studios and Billionaire Boys Club.
