It’s CULTED with your morning NEWSRUSH for Tuesday 15th September.

First up, the UK government is being urged to tackle throwaway fast fashion by a group of MPs. The MPs, from a range of parties, are requesting that the government support the development of fabrics that have a lower environmental impact,  and are also requesting an increase in clothing recycling facilities throughout the country.

In other news, Virgil Abloh has taken to Instagram to tease an Off-White x Stüssy collab. In the teased pics it looks like the new collaboration will be a T-shirt that builds on Off-White’s ‘I Support Young Black Businesses’ initiative. At the moment there’s no official release date but we’ll keep you updated.

Next up, a 1984 Basquiat painting with an estimated value between $4 and $6M is going up for auction at Christie’s. Also on offer is Joan Mitchell’s Untitled which looks set to fetch between $3.5 and $5.5M at the auction which will take place on 6 and 7 October.

And to round off this morning’s updates, Levi’s has just launched a more sustainable range of puffer jackets that are made from recycled plastic bottles and waste. Check out the range on the Levi’s website.
