Tuesday NEWS RUSH Featuring Tokyo Olympics Postponement.

It’s CULTED bringing you your Tuesday morning NEWS RUSH.

First up, the 2020 Tokyo Olympics have been postponed as worldwide cases of coronavirus reach 350,000. Olympic Committee member Dick Pound said the games will most likely be moved to 2021 but as of yet “the parameters going forward have not been determined”. The details will reportedly be worked out in the next 4 weeks.

Next, Amazon has suspended all orders of nonessential goods in France and Italy. The measure aims to reduce pressure on the company’s logistics team whilst the 2 countries are on lockdown. It comes after the company faced criticism for its handling of the corona crisis.

Next up, H&M, the world’s second largest fashion retailer, is the latest fashion company to support efforts to combat coronavirus. A spokesperson for the company said:

“The EU has asked us to share our purchasing operations and logistics capabilities in order to source supplies, but in this urgent initial phase, we will donate the supplies”.

That’s all for today. Stay tuned for more news later today.

It’s Sam with CULTED. Have a great Tuesday.
