It’s CULTED with your Tuesday morning NEWS RUSH.
First up, Nicki Minaj and Doja Cat’s ‘Say So’ remix has charted at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
This is the first time either artist has reached the top spot and Nicki has now broken the record for the longest wait for a number 1 hit, according to Forbes. The track also marks the first time that a collab between 2 female rappers has reached number 1.
In other news, Frieze has moved its New York art fair online.
Showcasing some of the world’s most expensive artworks, the online instalment allows viewers to explore over 200 galleries from across the globe. The fair will be live until May 15 and features a 1982 work by Jean-Michael Basquiat priced at a whopping $5.5mn!
And to round off today, Lil Miquela has become the first CGI influencer to sign with talent agency CAA.
Variety has reported that the firm will work with Lil Miquela in all areas including brand strategy, commercial endorsements, tv and even film!
Is this a sign that the concept of the “influencer” is completely changing?
That’s all for today.
It’s Sam with CULTED. Stay safe and enjoy your day.
