It’s CULTED with your morning NEWS RUSH.
Today marks 10 years since the death of the legendary and unforgettable Lee Alexander McQueen.
Later, we will take a look at some highlights from his 20-year-career as a truly one-of-a-kind fashion designer. Check back here for our tribute to Lee.
In other news, fashion weeks are being criticised for their lack of sustainability. We spoke to trailblazing designer, Patrick Mcdowell who has created a swap shop to help tackle the issue. Live soon.
Next up – Shanghai and Beijing fashion weeks have been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak. Both events were scheduled to take place at the end of March and as of yet no new dates have been revealed.
Moving on, Virgil Abloh has announced the launch of the Off-White International Rap Video Production Studio. The brand will now be creating music visuals and the first video will be for Pop Smoke and Quavo’s ‘Shake The Room’.
Finally, more and more transgender models are opening up about their negative experiences of being openly transgender. We took a deeper look into transphobia, the fashion industry and the public. The video will be posted later.
It’s Sam with CULTED.
