First up, Dior has partnered with UNESCO to provide mentoring to women from disadvantaged backgrounds. As a part of its Women@Dior scheme, the brand will take on 100 new students to mentor who will take part in a 10 month program this summer.
Next up, Off-White’s resort 2021 menswear collection debuted a few days ago and has received a positive reception. @Pam_boy praised stylist Ib Kamara expressing that he’s “made Off-White’s pre-collections so palatable”. The collection itself features padded shoulders, sleek tailoring and an overall muted colour palette.
In sneaker news, after the huge success of the original, Balenciaga has launched a redesigned Speed 2.0 trainer. Available in 4 colourways prices range from $825 to $895.
In other footwear news, Converse has unveiled its most sustainable shoe to date. The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Crater is made up of at least 40% recycled materials.
To round off this morning’s updates, the Jordan brand is launching its own sustainable footwear also called the ‘crater’ collection. The new collection features 3 different shoes made heavily from leftover manufacturing waste.
