Thursday NEWSRUSH Featuring MM6 Maison Margiela X The North Face.
It’s CULTED with your morning NEWSRUSH for Thursday 1 October.
First up, independent French label Ami will be broadcasting its upcoming fashion show in Times Square. The show kicks off on Saturday 3 October and will be shown in New York the following day at 8pm via an almost 8000-square-foot screen.
In other news, in an interview with GQ, Donald Glover doesn’t feel like he’s “done with that [music] project” – possibly referring to Childish Gambino. With Childish Gambino supposedly having been retired, it looks like new Gambino music could potentially be coming in the future.
Next up, scientist Pascal Cotte has discovered a never-before-seen sketch underneath the Mona Lisa. He’s analysed 1,650 images of the portrait and published his findings in the Journal of Cultural Heritage back in August.
And to round off today’s updates, the MM6 Maison Margiela and The North Face collab is finally set to drop. The co-branded collection features a range of jackets and puffers, and accessories. It’s dropping on 8 October on maisonmargiela.com with prices ranging from $300 to $1,600.
That’s all for this morning. It’s Sam with CULTED.
